VIETNAM
Exploring Vietnam turned out to be quite a journey, filled with unexpected twists and lessons. Before I got sick, I was really looking forward to trying out the delicious food and soaking in all the sights and sounds of the country. But things didn't go as planned.
Once I arrived, I fell ill and had to stay in bed for two weeks. Despite feeling unwell, I made it a habit to take short walks around the neighborhood every morning. I started my day with coconut water, knowing its amazing ability to hydrate the body well.
Even though I couldn't eat much, I found comfort in one dish – pho, a tasty noodle soup that's supposed to be good for you. This experience taught me that what we eat isn't just about filling our stomachs. It's about taking care of ourselves and feeling good inside and out.
Despite the challenges, I learned valuable lessons about resilience and the connection between food and well-being. Yes! Most of us do know these things, but we do forget, and life often gives us reminders to look after ourselves. In the end, my journey through Vietnam led me to understand that it’s not always about being constantly on the move or striving to accomplish travel goals. Simply taking it easy and enjoying the present moment is equally beneficial for the body, mind, and soul.
